Deputies arrest man accused of kidnapping pregnant woman at gunpoint in Lancaster

LANCASTER, S.C. — The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office arrested a man they say kidnapped his pregnant girlfriend Sunday night.

Officers said Frederickeon Lamar Twitty entered a residence on Pardue Street with a gun and forcibly removed the woman by grabbing her around the neck.

They said Twitty forced the woman into the back of a four-door sedan and left the area.

Police said the woman was able to get out of the vehicle while it was stopped at a stop sign on Chesterfield Avenue.

Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies arrested Twitty Monday night during a traffic stop on Lynnwood Drive.

Twitty was wanted on charges of domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree burglary, kidnapping and use of firearm during commission of a violent crime.
