CHARLOTTE — All lanes along South Tryon Street from East 3rd Street to East MLK Jr. Boulevard have reopened after being closed since early Sunday for an emergency water pipe repair.

Charlotte Water said the outage only affected customers in the 300 block of South Tryon Street.

Officials said other customers nearby should see water pressure back to normal. Residents are advised to run cold water first until it is clear.
