CHEROKEE, N.C. — First responders were on the scene at a Harrah’s casino in Cherokee, North Carolina after a portion of the parking garage apparently collapsed Friday morning, according to a casino spokesperson.
Representatives said a component failure occurred on the first floor ramp, leading to the second floor.
There were no apparent injuries and casino officials said a safety assessment was being conducted.
“The safety of our employees and guests is our primary concern,” the spokesperson said.
More information is expected to be released later Friday.
