On the exact day in question, ALE agents were wearing plain clothes. The manager of Slingshot took the microphone from the DJ and said ALE was “in the house.” A large group of patrons left after the announcement was made, according to ALE agents.
Slingshot is facing $3,500 dollars in fines by the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.
