CHARLOTTE — A popular South End bar is under fire from Alcohol Law Enforcement for serving underage customers.
According to the ALE report, Slingshot Social Game Club served underage customers last June. The report showed some of those underaged drinkers paid extra in cover fees to get in the bar.
And lastly, the ABC Commission is fining Sling Shot $3,500 for serving underage people on June 20, 2021. According to the ALE report, the agents were in plain clothes and as the investigation was happening, a manager took the mic from the DJ booth and announced "ALE in the house"

On the exact day in question, ALE agents were wearing plain clothes. The manager of Slingshot took the microphone from the DJ and said ALE was “in the house.” A large group of patrons left after the announcement was made, according to ALE agents.
Slingshot is facing $3,500 dollars in fines by the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.
