CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Recent rumors that Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is adding a location at Park Road Shopping Center have now been confirmed.

The owner of Park Road Shopping Center, Columbia, South Carolina-based Edens, announced on Friday that Jeni's will start dishing up scoops of ice cream and frozen yogurt this summer at 4203 Park Road. Jeni's is partnering with Edens and 505 Design on a 621-square-foot concept there that will have outdoor patio seating and its waffle cone-making station on display in storefront windows.
CBJ's Jennifer Thomas first reported last month that Jeni's had surfaced as a potential replacement for Va da Vie Gelato, which closed in early April after nearly five years in business.
