CHARLOTTE — The Good Wurst Co. is expanding its footprint, with its third restaurant landing in northwest Charlotte.
Restaurateur Lincoln Clark says he’s signed a lease for a 3,000-square-foot store at Riverbend Village. He’s got permits in hand and is finalizing pricing.
That 130-acre mixed-use complex, at Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road and N.C. Highway 16, is a joint venture between Simpson Commercial Real Estate and Landmark Development Partners.
Clark says he was drawn to the fast-growing Mountain Island neighborhood. The site has good visibility and easy access from Interstate 485.
Expect the Riverbend restaurant to occupy an end-cap space with a covered patio. It will have the same vibe as Good Wurst’s original location, which opened in Plaza Midwood in September 2020. Most importantly, the guests can expect the same quality of food.
Good Wurst melds a New York-style deli with Clark’s love of European street food. The concept draws inspiration from an 18-month stint he spent living in Europe.
“We’re taking the extra step by making it authentic, creating it the way it was meant to be created,” he says. “We’re just taking that extra step from a quality standpoint and doing it the right way.”
