CHESTER, S.C. — A popular restaurant in Chester was destroyed in an overnight fire, officials told Channel 9 early Thursday morning.
Just before midnight, flames ripped through the Chester Cove Family Restaurant on the Chester bypass, causing the roof to collapse.
Nobody was hurt but fire crews have called SLED to help investigate how the fire started.
The restaurant was deemed a total loss.
