CHARLOTTE — Pop The Top Craft Beer Shop is doubling down on Charlotte. It has snapped up a 2,000-square-foot location at 4000 Monroe Road, Suite 500. There’s roughly 750 square feet of patio space.

Pop The Top will be part of Oakhurst Commons, a 135,000-square-foot adaptive-reuse development in Charlotte’s Echo Hills neighborhood

Co-owner Ketan Patel says the Oakhurst, Echo Hills and Monroe Road corridor is a long-forgotten area of Charlotte in terms of development. “(It) is starting to see an explosion of new and exciting businesses. We wanted to be a part of this exciting growth,” he says.

He and wife Kathy Patel are behind the business. Pop The Top offers a selection of craft beer from the Carolinas as well as local kombucha, cider and a variety of wines.
