HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a missing 16-year-old girl who they said left her home on Christmas Day.
Police said Anessa Arrasmith left her home on Christmas Day and is believed to be near the Charlottetowne Avenue area in Charlotte.
"We're always concerned because they are juveniles and we don't know if other circumstances are influencing them,” said Odette Saglimbeni, with the Huntersville Police Department. “We are concerned about them and for their safety and that's why we want to put those things out and get them back to their family.”
Police said Arrasmith could be in trouble.
“I'd be freaking out if my son went missing," a neighbor said.
If you have information regarding Arrasmith's location, authorities said to call the Huntersville Police Department at 704-464-5400.
