RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police responded to a shooting at Crabtree Valley Mall on Thursday night during a busy shopping season, ABC affiliate WTVD reported.
Authorities responded to reports of shots fired at the mall shortly after 8:45 p.m., nearly an hour before the popular shopping center closes.
WTVD reported that a heavy police presence could be seen outside the mall. Paramedics were also seen staging near the Macy’s entrance.
A kiosk owner who works at the mall told WTVD that he heard about eight shots fired near the Bath and Body Works store. A food court restaurant employee said that she “heard a lady screaming, but saw nothing.”
No injuries are reported at this time. The investigation at this point indicates that the parties involved are known to one another.
