CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police released a new surveillance video Wednesday afternoon showing a murder suspect in the moments before they believe he shot and killed a man.

The family of Yama Fluker pleaded with the public Wednesday afternoon to look at the surveillance footage and help identify the man seen outside the store on Toomey Avenue.

The shooting happened Jan. 19, and Fluker’s brother said he, his mother, and Fluker’s 14-year-old son are still grieving. They are asking anyone with information to step forward and give them closure.

“As a community as a whole, you know, people feel like, stop snitching and don’t snitch. Don’t snitch until it touches home,” said Louis Miller, Fluker’s brother.

Police said they cannot comment whether they think drugs motivated the shooting.
