HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A police officer had to be checked out at the hospital after a vehicle crashed through a gas station building Wednesday morning in downtown Huntersville.
Authorities told Channel 9 the Huntersville police officer was shopping inside the Cashion’s Quik Stop at the corner of Gilead and Old Statesville Road when a woman’s foot accidentally slipped off the brake and hit the gas, sending her Hyundai SUV through the wall.
Huntersville PD tells me one of its officers was inside the Quik Stop when the driver’s foot slid off the brake and hit the gas. That officer is ok, but was taken to the hospital. No charges as of now @wsoctv https://t.co/jCH5XZnxlG
