MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville man is accused of trying to have sex with a child while on a business trip in Florida.

Richard Johnson was one of 50 men arrested during a week-long undercover sex sting.

WFTV sent Channel 9 video of some of the other men being arrested as they tried to meet a child they thought they had met on the Internet.

The majority of the men busted by officers as part of the multi-county sting were taken down at the same Seminole County home.

Investigators said Johnson had posted a personal ad looking for what he called a "buddy."   Police said he arrived at the house in a rental car and said he was there to meet "Arnold."

Johnson was one of just a few of the suspects who did not eventually admit to the crime, police said.

Johnson is out of jail and due back in court in March.
