GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A man accused of beating and carving his initials into the chest of a Gaston County teenager is now accused of raping the same victim when she was 13 years old.
The Gaston Gazette reports police charged 28-year-old Brentlee Metcalf with three counts of statutory rape for incidents in 2016.
It is unclear how the victim knew Metcalf.
She was granted an order of protection from Metcalf last week.
The order states that Metcalf left 10 messages on her phone within an hour.
She reported he said, "Call me in five minutes or suffer the consequences."
The order also states he then texted her to say she is "(expletive) dead."

The girl said she asked Metcalf to stop calling and he said if she blocked him he would call from another phone. The order said he came to her home and told her to leave through the window so he could punish her.
The order also states he led her down a trail from her home in Cherryville and into the woods, where he gagged her, tied her hands, dropped bars of soap into a sock, and beat her with it.
She told officials he used a folding pocket knife to carve his initials in her chest and tried to make it clear that resisting him was futile.
She said she went to the police when an adult told her story to a detective.
Officials said she can get an order to keep Brentlee Metcalf away from her for one year, even though he is in jail.
She said before his arrest, he repeatedly called her, sent threatening texts telling her there will be consequences if she didn't answer the phone, that she needed to be punished, and threats to kill her.
Her attorney Whitney Edmondson asked for a delay to present those messages in court.
"The evidence that we're trying to obtain is messages off of the plaintiff's cell phone, but the Cherryville police currently have it, but they have indicated that they are planning on returning it," Edmondson said.
Officials said this could have been avoided if Metcalf voluntarily agreed to stay away from the teen for a year, but he did not.
Metcalf is now being held under a $2 million bond.
