CHARLOTTE — The skeletal remains of a local minister were found Wednesday afternoon in woods not far from his home on LaSalle Street in north Charlotte, family members confirmed to Channel 9.
Minister David Crawford was reported missing 11 months ago.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the 78-year-old was last seen at his home on Lasalle Street last year. A Silver Alert was issued for him on Labor Day 2020.
Foul play is not suspected in Crawford’s death, CMPD said.
Crawford served as a minister at United House of Prayer on Beatties Ford Road for 50 years.
Authorities said he may have suffered from dementia. No other information has been released.
