CHARLOTTE — A fourth person has been charged in connection with the murder of a missing 20-year-old Charlotte woman, police said Tuesday.
Three people were charged in early April with the murder of Mary Collins, who was reported missing, CMPD said.
Collins was last seen in the area of Burnley Road and was reported missing on March 30.
On Tuesday, CMPD said America Diehl, turned herself into the Thornton Police Department in Thornton, Colorado.
Diehl was charged with felony accessory after the fact and concealing a death. She will be placed into the Mecklenburg County jail after she is extradited back to North Carolina.
Collins’ body was found on April 4 in the 700 block of Rollerton Road in NoDa.
James Salerno, 19, Lavi Pham, 21 and Kelly Lavery, 24, were charged with murder and kidnapping and are in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
No other details about the crime have been released.
