Officers said the robbers wore masks and used a gun to rob the store on Mallard Creek Road around 1:45 a.m.

An employee was inside the store at the time, but was not injured.

Officials said a police dog tried to track the robbers, but was not able to find them.

The case follows four overnight robberies Tuesday that police believe are connected.

Police said even though the robberies were spread out, the robbers hit all four locations within 90 minutes.

CMPD said they are still searching for the suspects in those cases.

There was an additional robbery Tuesday morning, but police said they do not think it was connected with the other four cases from Tuesday.

In that case, two people held up a clerk at the Circle K on Selwyn Avenue.

Both robbers had guns and ran off with cigarettes and cash.

"It kind of shows the de-evolution of kind of the society that people that you can't get more than $30 out of a place like this in the middle of the night that it's worth risking all of the consequences of jail time," customer Mark Hansen said.

No arrests have been made so far.
