KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — At least two adults and one child were removed from a home in Kings Mountain Tuesday morning, according to Channel 9's partners at the Shelby Star.
The Star reported that officers had guns aimed at a yellow house off U.S. 74 Business, also known as Shelby Road, near West Gold Street.
A man came out of the home with his hands up around 10:30 a.m., according to the paper. He was taken into custody, but his name has not been released.
The Star reported that a woman and small child were also removed from the home and that the child was carried to a patrol car. No other details have been released.
Police had closed both lanes of Shelby Road during the standoff.
Officers have not said what led up to the incident.
