CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting a homicide investigation after a woman was found stabbed to death outside an apartment complex in west Charlotte.
Officials said they received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Honeywood Apartments at the corner of Honeywood and Tennessee avenues.
Officers said when they arrived on scene, they found the female victim, Tracy Lavette Hudson-Glenn with an apparent stab wound.
MEDIC responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Leigh McDaniel Jr. was charged with murder in Hudson-Glenn's killing.
