GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police were on the scene of a fatal shooting Tuesday on Allison Avenue in Gastonia near the courthouse.
A man shot and killed Charles Anthony Thompson, officials said.

Police arrested Anthony Anton Sanders of Gastonia and charged him with first-degree murder.
Travis Antonio Davis was arrested and charged in connection with accessory to first-degree murder and firearm by felon, police said in a news release.
Police did not say which man was in the wheelchair.
