KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police in Kannapolis said they’ve arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting.
Officials said they arrested Kenneth Lamont Robinson on Tuesday without incident.
Police said 30-year-old Deonte Lamar Phifer was found dead at a home along Wilson Street just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Phifer lived about five minutes from where the shooting happened. Witnesses reported seeing a man leave the scene.
Officials said the Concord Police Department helped take Robinson into custody.
Police said because this is an ongoing investigation, further details will be limited.
