The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Friday in the area of Catherine Simmons Avenue and Beatties Ford Road.
Police said when they arrived, it was a "fairly chaotic scene."

MEDIC took him to a hospital with serious injuries.
"It was horrible. They love this guy. And he's just in the driver seat dead," said a neighbor.
Eyewitness News anchor Genevieve Curtis reported seeing a large police presence in the area.
CMPD said multiple units from several agencies in the city came to the scene to prevent any further violence and to try to restore a sense of calm in the community.
They are urging the community not to respond with more violence.
"Expectation is let the cooler heads prevail, let the detectives do their jobs and let us seek justice for the victims," CMPD Maj. Dave Robinson said.
Authorities have not said what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made, but police said they are looking for at least one if not more people who could be involved.
This was the second homicide in the last 24 hours and the city's 90th homicide of the year.
