SALISBURY, N.C. — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a house fire that killed an elderly man and his dog Thursday night.
Police said around 10:30 p.m., they were notified by crews at the scene on Log Barn Road in Salisbury that 88-year-old Riley Vester Robinson had died in the fire.
RCSO and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are working to determine the cause of the fire.
