Police are investigating a shooting that left several people injured Monday afternoon in Mooresville.
Authorities told Channel 9 that two men at a home on Selma Drive were visited by two other men when gunfire erupted around 1 p.m. Two victims drove away and spotted an ambulance, which they followed to AmStar Theaters, where they flagged down paramedics for help.
The two were taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, one with a gunshot wound and the other with an unspecified injury, town officials said.

Another person showed up at a hospital a short time later in a personal vehicle, according to officials. That person had also been shot.
No conditions have been released.

When Channel 9 reporter Tina Terry arrived at the theater, a four-door pickup truck was spotted being towed away. There was no word from police if that vehicle is connected to the shootings.
When Channel 9 got on the scene on Selma Drive, the road was lined with several police cruisers and a home was roped off with crime scene tape.
The investigation is ongoing.
