SALISBURY, N.C. — Police in Salisbury are not saying if they have any suspects in the murder of a 24-year-old restaurant worker early Monday morning.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots around midnight and, in the morning, found the body of Oscar Miguel Aguilera in the yard about 30 yards from his apartment on Lakewood Drive.

"He didn't do nothing, and they just killed him," said Mariela Ortiz, a friend of Aguilera's family.
Family members told Eyewitness News Aguilera had walked home from his job at a local restaurant when he was shot. They said police recovered his wallet so they do not believe he was robbed.
"He just died, and they just don't know what really happened," Ortiz said.

Police have not released any possible motives or suspect information in the case.
