MINT HILL, N.C. — Police are investigating a homicide in Mint Hill after they said a man was found shot to death in an apartment Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the Victoria Park Apartments on Stoney Trace Drive just before 3 a.m. after receiving several 911 calls reporting some type of disturbance with possible weapons involved.

When police got to the apartments, they found several people who were involved. Officials said they were compliant and officers took them into custody.
Officers then found a man inside an apartment unit who was on the ground and unconscious.
MEDIC arrived a short time later and pronounced Dylan Payne Sanders, 21, of Kannapolis, dead.
Channel 9 crews on the scene saw crime scene tape up around an apartment building and several people visibly upset.
Mint Hill police took three people to the police department to be interviewed. Authorities said they appear to be cooperating with investigators.
According to police, detectives are not looking for anyone else and there appears to be no danger to the public. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
