CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and truck in west Charlotte Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene just after noon on Wabash Avenue near Hovis Road.
Authorities said the motorcycle was traveling east on the road when it struck the front of a truck that was traveling west and turning left into a driveway.

The motorcyclist, Kerry Burlinski, was confirmed dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not hurt in the crash, officials said.
Officers believe that Burlinski was speeding and driving recklessly before the crash.
