CHARLOTTE — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a fatal car crash in north Charlotte.

On Monday night shortly after 11 p.m., officers responded to a crash with injuries at the intersection of I-485 and Mallard Creek Road. CMPD says the inner lanes on I-485 are closed as well as the Mallard Creek Bridge.
