CHARLOTTE — A woman was shot and killed in a home in east Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on Friday.
CMPD put out an alert just before 11:30 a.m. saying officers were investigating a deadly shooting on Foxford Place, which is north of Shamrock Drive.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the scene and saw crime scene tape surrounding a home. Multiple CMPD officers were parked nearby, with officers investigating inside the home.
Family members told Channel 9′s Ken Lemon that the victim was 42-year-old Santavius McBride. She was the mother to four boys.
According to family members, one of McBride’s sons found her dead Friday morning.
Raymond McBride is Santavius’ cousin, and he said he needs answers.
He told Ken Lemon that his cousin did everything she could for her sons.
“She is a good mother. She is a dedicated mother. She loves all of the kids,” Raymond said.
Family says the person of interest in the case is one of her sons. He turned himself in and has been arrested and charged for her death.
Raymond was just one of a dozen family members who came to the home looking for answers.
“It would mean a whole lot to get clarity. It never will bring her back,” he said. “We will never get over it but will give us some kind of comfort.”
