CONCORD, N.C. — Police are investigating after an officer collided with another car in Concord Thursday night.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on Concord Mills Boulevard and Christenbury Parkway.
Channel 9 was at the scene, where the officer’s car can be seen smashed into a pole. The airbag can also be seen in the driver’s seat.
Authorities said the officer was hit when a driver in another car ran a red light.
The officer and driver were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
No other details have been released at this point.
