KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police are investigating a bizarre overnight shooting in Kannapolis.
The crime happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at an abandoned house on West 8th Street.
Neighbors told Channel 9 a man was shot in the leg and the bullet passed through both legs. They also said the victim's hands had been zip-tied together.
Officers have not confirmed those details but said the victim is expected to survive.
Police said the home where the shooting happened was foreclosed on, and no one should have been there.
