BOONE, N.C. — Boone police have identified a vehicle that may have been involved in an armed robbery at a Cracker Barrel.
A masked man walked into the restaurant on Blowing Rock Road just after 9 p.m. last Thursday and showed employees a weapon. He demanded money before taking off on foot toward the Shops at Shadowline.
Police said a witness saw a suspicious vehicle in the Shops at Shadowline parking lot at the time of the robbery, and they believe the vehicle may have picked up the masked man.
The vehicle is described as a late 1990s to early 2000s burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee with a gray plastic bottom. Police said the vehicle appeared to be in decent condition with no obvious abnormalities or modifications.
