CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating after four people were shot in a parking lot in east Charlotte early Saturday morning.
The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. at the McDonald's and Quik Trip off of Eastway Drive.

Officers said when they arrived, they found three people in a rideshare car and two of the people had been shot. A female victim had life-threatening injuries and the driver of the car had been grazed by a bullet, according to police.
Authorities said two additional male victims later came to the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
After an initial investigation, CMPD said a man and a woman were inside a rideshare car with its driver in the McDonald's parking lot when they were approached by two armed men.
Officials said the male passenger and the two armed men began shooting at each other. The rideshare driver was grazed in the hand by a bullet and the female passenger was shot and sustained life-threatening injuries.
Both men who approached the car were also shot and injured during the shooting, but fled the scene before police arrived.

Police said they have identified and found all of the people involved in the shooting and are not looking for any other suspects at this time.
