CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have found a mother and son who were reported missing Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators said Djoch H was last seen around 3 p.m. leaving her home on Northstream Drive in west Charlotte to pick up her 11-year-old son, K’son Y, at Winget Park Elementary School.
Investigators told Channel 9 that Djoch, 48, suffers from an undiagnosed cognitive impairment and K’son has autism.
Police said Djoch and her son were found safe around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and were in the process of being reunited with family members.
