CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Charlotte on Choyce Avenue.
Officials say this shooting started after a dispute over an affair.
CMPD told Channel 9 the shooting happened in the front yard just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
Mauricio Elias-Arita was arrested. He is facing drug charges.

A male victim was shot and was said to have non-life threatening injuries.
Police say they are working to figure out if the shooting was self-defense.
