CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say five teenagers are facing charges in connection with an armed carjacking at a west Charlotte gas station Thursday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at a Shell gas station on Old Little Rock Road, near Freedom Drive.
“All I seen was a bunch of police,” said Sarah Scott, who drove past the gas station moments after the robbery.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said five teens ranging in age from 15 to 17 years old all got inside the car, and when the car’s owner tried to stop them, they pointed a gun at him.
The car’s owner fired shots at them as they drove off.
