No arrests made after shooting in Salisbury leaves 1 dead, 2 hurt

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police in Salisbury are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two other people hurt late Sunday night.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on Green Street. Police said they responded after getting calls about shots fired in the area.

Three victims were taken to local hospitals. Henry Wilder Jr., 33, was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Health in critical condition, but he died early Monday morning from his injuries.

Two others were transported to area centers, but they are expected to be OK.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made.

No other information has been released.
