SAVANNAH, Ga. — One person is dead and eight others, including two children, were hurt following a mass shooting in Savannah, Georgia Friday night, WJCL reports.
Savannah Police said officers were called to Avery Street for reports of gunshots fired around 9 p.m. Friday, WJCL said.
When they arrived, officers found one adult dead and eight other people hurt, according to WJCL. Two of those victims are in critical condition.
Among the wounded are two children, ages 13 and 2, according to WJCL. Officers said their injuries were not life threatening.
The shooting occurred just three blocks from police headquarters, WJCL said.
According to Savannah Police, no suspects have been identified at this time.

No motive for the shooting has been determined, nor have the circumstances that led to the attack.
Savannah Mayor Van Johnson tweeted overnight asking anyone with information to come forward. “We will need the community’s help with tips, leads and information. #SaySomething,” the tweet read.
The shooting remains under investigation.
