CHARLOTTE — It’s the end of the line for Sister in Plaza Midwood.
The all-day, European-inspired café took to social-media channels to announce its last day will be July 31 — roughly six months after it opened. It encouraged fans to come out for one last dinner or cocktail.
“While we’ve experienced growth during the last six months and have been hopeful about the future, rising food, labor and rent costs have made it impossible for us to continue,” reads an Instagram post.

Veteran restaurateurs Andy and Lesa Kastanas are behind that venture. The couple has been involved in ownership or management of some of the most iconic spots in Charlotte, including Mythos, Cosmos, The Diamond and CLTCH.
