Plans revealed for 31-story tower to be developed in South End

CHARLOTTE — Another major development project is planned along the edge of South End and uptown Charlotte, a joint venture revealed on Tuesday.

Crescent Communities and Nuveen Real Estate will partner to bring Carson South End to a nearly 3-acre site off West Carson Boulevard. The project calls for the construction of a 31-story mixed-use tower and will include nearly 560,000 square feet of office space, 10,000 square feet of retail space, a 200-room hotel and over 100 apartments. A specific timeline for the project was not disclosed.
