Pizzeria opening soon in uptown will dish up NY-style slices

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This New York-style pizzeria is ready for its uptown debut.

Pizzeria Sapienza CLT expects to open its doors in Fourth Ward on July 30, says owner Sal Sapienza

It is located at 620 N. Church St.

“We feel really confident in the location,” Sapienza says, noting that the 2020 Vision Plan helped solidify his site choice.

Expect that 2,400-square-foot restaurant to have an old-school pizzeria feel with a modern and contemporary look.
