CHARLOTTE — On a recent afternoon at Quail Hollow Club, construction crews filled a portion of the parking lot, hammering away at scaffolding. Stacks of materials and equipment sat nearby, waiting for their turn on the tee.
In a temporary building tucked into a corner of the club’s property — bearing the PGA Championship logo — employees from PGA of America hammered away at their own construction projects: sponsorships, ticket sales, corporate hospitality and the endless logistics that accompany a major sporting event.
