Person shot in head in southeast Charlotte apartment, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person was shot in the head Sunday afternoon at the Marvin Villas apartment complex in southeast Charlotte.

Authorities said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to Marvin Road at about 4:10 p.m.

Police said that two people were in the apartment, and one was a visitor, as a bullet came through the door and struck someone.

Channel 9 is asking officials what led to the shooting.
