MORGANTON, N.C. — A person was found dead after an RV fire Tuesday night in the Walmart parking lot, our partners at The News Herald reported.
Police were called to the Walmart in the Morganton Heights Shopping Center, according to a release from the Morganton Department of Public Safety.

The RV was engulfed in flames when officers arrived on scene.
Crews put out the fire on the outside of the RV, then went inside to extinguish the rest of the blaze.
A person was found dead inside the RV, the release said. Their identity has not been released.
The fire still is under investigation.
