CHARLOTTE — The People’s Market is queuing up its return to the Queen City. The urban market is within days of relaunching — if it can onboard some additional staff, says Cory Duran, founder.
“That is literally the only thing that’s stopping us from opening,” Duran says.
That location looks to relaunch The People’s Market brand. Its original location on East Boulevard in Dilworth closed in February 2020, amid financial difficulties.
“I believe in People’s Market. I knew the way we closed was not good enough for our customers,” he says.
Now, he hopes to recreate The People’s Market vibe down to its signature yellow coffee cups. Expect it to be a neighborhood hub.
“The energy of who we are will remain the same,” Duran says.
