CHARLOTTE — The proprietors of a popular gathering spot in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood are pulling back the curtain on their latest creative vision, with today marking the grand opening of a new spot at Camp North End.
The NoDa Company Canteen has transformed an industrial building at that sprawling complex near uptown into a tropical oasis, complete with palm trees and a mural that recalls a sunset and the sea.
It’s the latest venture by Joey Hewell and husband Scott Lindsley, who opened the NoDa Company Store in 2016, and business partner David Holmes.
They have themselves completed much of the work inside the canteen space since getting the keys last spring.
