Parents charged with homicide by child abuse months after Chester baby’s death

CHESTER, S.C. — Authorities say the parents of an infant found dead last May in a home in South Carolina have been arrested.

Shedrick Dashun Gallman, 22, and Natricia Wright, 21, were arrested on Thursday in Union County, North Carolina where they were jailed on a charge of homicide by child abuse.

Gallman and Wright were charged months after their baby was found dead on Second Street in Chester on May 20.

Arrest warrants stated that the baby suffered from “chronic malnutrition,” which resulted in death.

Wright and Gallman are being held without bond while they wait for an extradition hearing.
