Lowe’s highlights BoA Stadium, Christian McCaffrey in new NFL ad campaign

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and Bank of America Stadium play leading roles in a new national ad campaign for Lowe’s. The 30-second spot debuts Thursday during the NFL season opener on NBC and will be part of an ongoing campaign.

The ad introduces the home-improvement company’s theme of “Let’s Put the ‘Home’ in Home Team” — a nod to the Covid-19 pandemic forcing most fans to stay away from stadiums and other mass-crowd events. An overhead shot of the NFL stadium in Charlotte appears on-screen as the narrator notes that “800 South Mint Street may not be quite as full, but don’t count out all 800 Mint Streets just yet.” BofA Stadium’s uptown address is 800 S. Mint St.

From there, other 800 Mint Street addresses around the country are shown, with fans of NFL teams including the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos seen tackling various home-improvement and maintenance projects.

The national faces of the campaign are 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and the Panthers' McCaffrey. The Carolina running back also has a cameo in the TV ad.
