CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers owner and founder Jerry Richardson donated $100,000 to help the families of the Charleston church shooting victims.
The donation letter sent to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund, dictates that each family should receive $10,000 to cover funeral costs and other financial needs.
The letter also said $10,000 would be donated to Emanuel AME church "as a memorial honoring the victims. "
"Our hearts are one with those who grieve the loss of these individuals," Richardson wrote in the letter.
The letter is addressed to the attention of South Carolina State Rep. Bakari Sellers.
